Evelyn Graham-Nyaasi: Guest Lecture with Students in Columbia Mailman School of Public Health’s Course on Health and Human Rights (September 24)
As part of the Health and Human Rights course offered to students at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health, Speakers Bureau member Evelyn Graham-Nyaasi discussed her work advocating for a more humane response to people experiencing a mental health episode in New York City. She shared information about her work with Correct Crisis Intervention Today_(CCIT-NYC), and how her own experience with police led her to become a peer specialist and mental health advocate dedicated to keeping people safe in their homes.
